UCB's Doe Library... Central Library, Los Angeles... |
||
The University of California, Berkeley kicked off their largest fund-raising effort with a gala party at which the noted author Joan Didion read her essay about being a student at CAL in 1956. Inocencio/Siegel designed and projected the slides which illustrated Ms. Didion's essay, as well as the images for all other speakers and entertainment from the Chancellor to Oski-the-mascot to the UCB marching band. In collaboration with staging partner BPS, Inocencio/ Siegel also co-directed the audio and projection for the event which, in 1996, was held inside UCB's Doe Library for 1,200 guests. In 1997, Inocencio/Siegel and BPS re-staged the event at the Central Library in downtown Los Angeles, for 250 people.
The installation included a 12'x27' screen; 6 Xenon projectors; a Barco light canon; and complete light and sound design.
